This month has been a bit rainy, but that’s okay because we are a rain or shine market! We do close when the weather gets dangerous like last week, but typically we are there in the rain with our tents. So bring your umbrellas and raincoats and come get your goodies! We would love to see ya’ll!
This month is Thyroid Awareness Month. According to the American Thyroid Association 1 in 10 people suffer from a thyroid condition. One in eight women will also develop a thyroid disorder in their lifetime as well. Thyroid disorders often go undiagnosed, and raising awareness to this will hopefully help those suffering get the treatment they need. For such a small part of the body, this gland helps maintain so many different parts of the body. It helps with regulating breathing, heart rate, body weight, muscle strength, cholesterol, and body temperature. The three conditions we hear about most are: Hyperthyroidism, Hypothyroidism, and Thyroid Cancer. This article has more information about these conditions.

As you know the weather last week was really bad! I hope that you all made it through the tornadoes with no damage. We can’t wait to be back in the park with lovely fresh produce, baked goods, and art! We have a few new vendors joining us over the next few weeks! Urban Harvest Farming and Buckwheat Farms are bringing us wonderful microgreens and herbs and vegetable starts for your gardens! Loy will be back with us soon, as well!
