The Last Day of August

Wednesday is the last day of August! And then we're moving into the "ber" months! Fall is a wonderful time of year when we get to sort of show down from all the hustle and bustle of summer and spring. Here we don't really get cooler weather, but I still love that things slow down and the leaves do start changing. I love the flavors of fall–the spicy cinnamon and cardamom and nutmeg, but also savory spicy smells like chili on the stove and smoky bonfires for roasting marshmallows and hotdogs.
Wednesday is Eat Outside Day, and with that in mind Hank's Food Truck has wonderful hotdogs for all to enjoy outdoors! Many of our bakers love to see you enjoy your baked goods you got from them. Bakery 2 Go has wonderful pastries and sliced breads to complete a picnic meal in the park. There are also frozen pops for dessert or just to cool down on a walk across the park. Eating outside is a wonderful way to enjoy the outdoors without getting too hot. It's a great way to celebrate fall in the south since it's still warmer. (Don’t forget to hydrate!) I encourage you to sit and enjoy the breeze and maybe have a little snack or dinner in the park or wherever you are and take in the live show that is nature around us.
