Happy Halloween!
October is nearly over! We're excited to be coming into the holiday season and hope to have lots of wonderful things for the community! With November coming up, we're going to be counting how thankful we are for this amazing community and our amazing vendors with spotlights. So be on the lookout for those!
With Halloween right around the corner, we're excited to see or hear what everyone is wearing! Come to the market in your costume, I'll be there wearing mine! We'd love to see all of them and I'll have candy at the market tent as well!
Halloween is a big time of the year and with that in mind there are some safety tips I'd like to share. Costumes can cause children to have lower visibility and the shorter days make it darker sooner, so it's important to make sure children are more visible while trick or treating. "Keep these tips in mind when your children are out on Halloween night:
● A responsible adult should accompany young children on the neighborhood rounds
● If your older children are going alone, plan and review a route acceptable to you
● Agree on a specific time children should return home
● Teach your children never to enter a stranger's home or car
● Instruct children to travel only in familiar, well-lit areas and stick with their friends
● Tell your children not to eat any treats until they return home, and take care to avoid any food allergies."
